FRIENDS Honestly, for Simon it's easier to make a friend of someone from say one of the core planets than it is to befriend someone from a border world. He still isn't used to the people around him behaving in such unrefined ways and really doesn't make any attempts to conform to their ways, so there's a bit of a barrier that comes between Simon and others when it comes to establishing friendships. Despite this, some if not most of Serenity's crew could probably be considered friends by now. ENEMIES Considering he 'selflessly turned both himself and his sister into fugitives', suffice to say people who call themselves Alliance are his enemies. Anyone who wants to harm his sister or bring her back to the academy? Enemies. Additionally, it's likely that others will easily find certain aspects of Simon annoying and hard to get along with, etc. LOVERS Aside from having a crush on Kaylee, Simon is probably far too focused on helping his sister to have any interest in anyone else he meets. Besides, he can barely talk to girls. OTHERS Anything else? Other thoughts? Throw 'em at me!

Hey, so, like I mentioned in the chatbox, I have a small idea for Citra and Simon. As we all know, Sim0n did everything in his power to get his sister out of Alliance custody and to freedom. With the assistance of an unnamed underground group, he pulls her out of the fire and they get themselves to Persephone. What we don't know, however, is who exactly got Simon and his sister there. Sure, someone tied to the group, but specifics are blurry.

Meanwhile, Citra Montenegro is a pirate captain with knowledge of Alliance protocol, a stolen Alliance vessel, and enough connections to get a hold of Alliance security codes in order to slip through patrols and inspections without much trouble. Who better to contract to get a pair of fugitives through Alliance space to Persephone, eh? *nudge nudge*

It would give the two characters a little bit of history, and add a little flavor to potential threads they could be in. It would also give me a character who wouldn't necessarily shoot/stab/capture Simon the second they saw/realized who he was. Just a possible idea, if you're game for it. Let me know what you think.

I really like this idea a lot! Rofl, we should definitely go with your idea... and since Citra seems like quite the terrifying person from what I read in her app, it'll be interesting when she doesn't shoot him straight away ;D. Simon would have funded them quite a bit of money back when he had it so I imagine they parted on relatively good terms the last time he saw her. So should they run into each other planetside or something?

Oh yay! ^^ I agree with the good terms bit. Though I've no doubt Simon and Citra's conflicting backrounds might have clashed a bit during the voyage, if the doctor paid her well, he's a welcome sight at any time. And the fact that the Alliance didn't mysteriously start cracking down on her operations after she got him off her ship is definitely a plus. Rich wanted guy pays her a small fortune and doesn't stab her in the back when he leaves? Citra would be pleased.

A run in planetside would be best if they run into each other, yeah. Knowing how paranoid Mal can be (and how much Citra doesn't like Alliance Feds interfering with her business), it would probably be best if it was on one of the outer planets, or somewhere like Persephone, because Persephone is a shithole and is basically my go to planet for meetings, now. xD

But yeah. If we do a thread, would you want to start it? Or would you rather I do so? Either or works for me, since I can throw something up pretty fast if I need to.

Zoe and Simon: I'm sure there is some respect between these two. Zoe appreciates when anyone do their job well and he likely has patched her, the Captain, and Wash up numerous times. Of course, she likely finds him a bit uptight but he's certainly better than Jayne in her books.
